New Project Spotlight: Rumpled Ripple Crochet Blanket
In today’s New Project Spotlight we’re shining the light on the Rumpled Ripple crocheted blanket by KatieCooksAndCrafts.blogspot.com.
This blanket uses my all-time FAVORITE stitch: the lemon peel (Cue the Snoopy dance!) and puts it into a ripple blanket design. So I’ve done the lemon peel (you can read about that here) and I’ve done a ripple pattern and this just marries the two of them together!
What You’ll Need (or what I used for the Rumpled Ripple crochet blanket)

- Katie’s pattern for the Rumpled Ripple
Finished Dimensions: 56″L x 42″W
This pattern is another easy workup. You do need to pay a little more attention since you’re dipping and rising but otherwise you kinda get used to the up and down.
I was on a quest to find a blanket pattern to use up a whole bunch of the Pinata Ombre (the multi-colored yarn). When I bought it I had all sorts of pattern visions in my head. After trying it on 2-3 different patterns, it just didn’t look right.

The Rumpled Ripple was the perfect stitch for it though. Using colorblocks it showcased the variegated yarn. It reminds me of grade school with the colors used. And a bit of Charlie Brown too. (???)
Final Thoughts on the Rumpled Ripple crochet blanket
If you would like an easy blanket with just a twist on the ripple blanket, this might be your next project. Thank you to Katie at KatieCooksAndCrafts for sharing the Rumpled Ripple crochet pattern!
