New Project Spotlight: Crochet Copper Beech Cowl
Today’s New Project Spotlight shines the light on the Copper Beech Cowl from Lion Brand. This is an easy cowl and an even easier pattern to follow. The autumn-like colors of the chosen yarn conjures up cool evenings around a fire. But as with any project, changing up the yarn can conjure up all sorts of other memories too!
What You’ll Need or What I Used To Crochet the Copper Beech Cowl
- 2 skeins of Lion Brand Tweed Stripes (144 yards/skein, 5-weight) in the colorway Woodlands (though it appears this color is discontinued)
- US-J hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Lion Brand’s Copper Beech Cowl pattern
The pattern calls for 16 rows that are worked in a ripple fashion. The stitching is fairly repetitive and if you’ve ever done a ripple blanket, this will be an even easier project since it’s quite a bit smaller. This cowl is worked in the round and before you know it, it’s done.
According to my pattern notes, I first made this project back in December 2011!! And it has stood the test of time.
Final Thoughts on the Crochet Copper Beech Cowl
This would be a quick, easy, and cute project to work up for a last-minute gift, or even just for yourself. How many of us don’t take the time to make things for ourselves? Well, that stops today, LOL. Go crochet yourself a Copper Beech Cowl and let me know in the comments how it went. Thank you to Lion Brand yarn for sharing the Copper Beech Cowl crochet pattern.
